Spring is creeping into existence slowly, slowly

There's now more pools of sunlight then ever, and we've even started venturing out into the backyard. No sign of red breasted robins, just the odd rogue magpie or crow. Daniel picked up some hydrangeas for me today from the markets and there are small buds on the bare tree out my bedroom window. I'm also cherishing the handwriting of an old friend, a letter sent from far, far away.
