Morning sunshine!

Sunday was, well pretty perfect. The sun was strong and bright; such a rarity for London, especially in winter. The Columbia flower markets bustled with people picking up last minute bouquets of amaryllis, peppers, mistletoe and pussy willow to dress their homes for the festive week ahead. Last minute christmas trees were brought and all the flower vendors were in happy states of vendor hysteria. Again the scent of pine laced the air and the chap was playing upright bass while little kids did jigs on the pavement in front of him.

We started the day with a delicious flat white and cheese sandwich from a little cafe in broadway market, and then wandered through to the flowers. It was cold! Your toes turn into painful little blocks of ice after about an hour of being out and about... one cure for that... mulled wine in a friendly pub! Ahhhh the defrost. In the pictures above are Georgia, visiting from Switzerland, Daniel (my new flatmate) and two lovely Danish girls the boys picked up in the pub the night before. ( I know!!!)

  1. it sounds like a dream...i'm putting my heart in you pocket from now on for safe keeping until i come and pick it up...x
