marine archaeology

The shipwreck museum within Kyrenia Castle, Northern Cyprus, holds this beautiful 2300 year old ship as the jewel in its crown.   I can only imagine the wonder and excitement a find of this nature builds in those that discover its treasures.  I love the 1960s photographs documenting its exploration and subsequent recovery to the world of air and life.

  1. what is Emily looking at, is it gold bits?

  2. earrings... gold jewelry x x

  3. your photos of the old photos are awesome...
cos it's produced certain reflections and distortions.
